Dota In World of Warcraft?

Blizzard's Defense of the Alehouse Preview Video

Unless you've been living in the Dalaran sewers, you've probably heard about a little game called League of Legends by Riot Games. What many folks don't seem to realize, however, is that its game play is based on an old Warcraft 3 mod called "Defense of the Ancients."  Dota, as it was called, nearly single-handedly popularized the multi-player online battle arena (MOBA) genre, and the rest is history.

Feeling left out of the party, Blizzard has decided to bring a DotA-style battleground map to World of Warcraft in Mists of Pandaria patch 5.2. It's still Dota, but it's not called Defense of the Ancients, no sir. In homage to the brew-loving panda people, it shall hence-forth be known as Defense of the Alehouse! You have to love the guys and gals from Irvine.

Anyway, Adria craft.net posted a short video fly-thru of the new and not-yet-finished battleground, and while it's void of much more than foliage, it gives you a good idea of what players are in for.  With no player characters visible, it's hard to tell the scale of the zone, but it certainly appears to be on the larger side. cheapest wow gold    buy or sell Ragnarok Online2 gold

Will Defense of the Alehouse be enough to draw LoL players into WoW? I don't think that's exactly the intent, but this new battleground should be a breath of fresh air for PvP-lovin' players from around Azeroth.  Buy Dungeon Fighter Online gold
